Robby & Matthew’s Granpda Bob died yesterday. The boys loved him dearly, particularly how delighted he always was to visit with them.
The Fitzgerald Boys
Up in the Nosebleed Section
Sure, Robby’s in 1st grade now and Matthew’s an exciting little dude making leaps and bounds with all manner of skills and proficiencies, but more importantly we got us some Sharks tickets. Last night Rebecca took Matthew to her weekly softball game and Robby and I made the trek down to San Jose, a three-hour trek cluttered with corn-dogs, soda, Red Vines, and alphabet games to do our part in making an utterly-inconsequential pre-season hockey game into a proper spectacle. We had a great time.
Rebecca’s been putting all the family updates on Facebook these days, but I’d be remiss to not put these two up where I know how the photos are archived:

Bunk-beds are awesome.
March Update
We’re closing in on Matthew’s second birthday! He is showing more and more independence in his daily routine. Having been through this stage before, Rebecca and I are perhaps a little more prepared to let go of our hovering, doting ways. But just a little.
Robby has received his second report card from Kindergarten, which reflected his hard work, natural talent, and kind disposition. Rebecca and I are very glad we decided not to wait to put him into the school system; he is thriving on the challenge and fun.
